Loading ...There is a stereotype of “Mom”. She is never very technical except in turning on the oven auto-timer, the dishwasher, and perhaps the washing machine. She doesn’t even know how to run the television remote. She has a computer but doesn’t really use it much because she has no time, and says ‘it’s too complicated!!’. This image is not real at all, but I have heard it perpetuated. It is more of a caricature.
Moms are not idiots by any stretch. That had that rocks the cradle could give some of us a valuable perspective we could learn from because the point of having an electric or electronic device is not to stand and marvel at it as some of us geeks do. Moms of the world have to be able to find real devices to help them get their work done and take care of their families. That is the real reason for having most of these useful electronic devices. I am sure there are a few moms out there who have their iPods and CD Walkman Players as well. Lots of battery power is used daily.
When it comes to Mom, she is often the family record keeper. This usually means she is in charge of taking pictures at family events and making sure they end up in a scrapbook or keepsake file for family records and memories. She uses lots of batteries.

I remember one day my husband had forgot to recharge the batteries for his camera and he had to use disposable batteries. They didn’t take half as many pictures as the rechargeable ones. Toys that require batteries run longer on rechargeables. The batteries do not have to be changed as often. There is less preoccupation on how much battery power is left. Just switch them out when needed.
You can go to Wal-Mart and buy the batteries, but more than likely they will not last as long. The mainstream brands of batteries are very successful, but if you check out some of the batteries not sold in regular stores you will find they have raised the bar.
